Crazy Sock Day

Easter Family Shots

Most of the photos I took were family portrait shots, but this one is just Keller's pure glee at having found an Easter Egg.

Awww, we missed cousins Tyler in the above shot and Kevin in the picture below.

The munchkins plunked down to start eating their loot.

Random Moments

We love our good friends Kate and Mikel AND the SB Museum of Natural History.

One of the kiddos first sighting of Baby Daniel. It still astounds me that the zookeepers did not know that mama was pregnant until they walked in one morning and saw Daniel. Uhmmm...he was 5 feet 9 inches at birth. Did ya just think she was bloated?

Our PEP Group's Easter Egg Hunt Extravaganza. Do you notice how Keller is holding his basket? We made paper mache baskets and the darn handles kept ripping, crafting fail.

This goofy expression = AWESOME.

Yay for getting to see Am when we were in the Bay Area...

...and the seals.

Last but not least, it was hard to leave this adorable babe behind. He was yummy!

Though, I am not sure he was loving my parenting skills. Ugh, I think I have forgotten how to hold a baby. I kept flopping him around. Help!

Whoops, thought the baby pictures were last, but no, you get these love pink "cupcakes." Sis made us cupcakes! She is the sweetest. Wait for it, beet cupcakes. I am not a convert, but the frosting was delicious.

Papa

J's Papa passed away Easter night, a better man you could not find. He will be greatly missed by the entire family.

Act Like a Stegosaurus Day

Sis made the munchkins Stegosaurus gloves, which they LOVE! Keller got very masculine green ones with blue spikes.

Vera's are a much more girly pink with black spikes.

Oh, and just in case you got confused by the name of the gloves, Keller's are actually T-Rex gloves. You don't dare tell him differently!

J is simply exhausted, he needs a weekend after our weekend. On Saturday, he and both kiddos helped our friends move from Santa Ynez to SB. What he thought would take a few hours ended up being an all day affair with both kids. Hmmm, I think I really came up positive with that situation. I sat home and organized closets and then spent two blissful hours having my hair dyed while reading trash magazines. So relaxing!

Then, J and I traveled to the OC yesterday for the wedding of a good friend of mine from the UCSB Teaching Credential Program. Bride was gorgeous, wedding was fun, but I came to the realization that my 5ish-month pregnant body is not alloweed to wear heels ever again during this pregnancy. I am so sore all up and down my legs. Whoo! Never knew that would be the workout of the weekend.

I am a fairly confident person about my height at this point, loving the fact that I am tall. But, standing next to an extremely petite and adorable bride while pregnant and tall...some of the pictures are being deleted. Literally, in a few I look freakishly tall. If I had tilted my head down it would look like I was trying to swallow her whole.

On the way home, J and I also totaled how many weddings we have gone to together. 23! This was our 23 wedding as a couple.

Family of Four

Sis recently asked for a new picture of our family of four and I stuttered to a stop. Hmm...I have looked before and can never seem to find one where we are looking at the camera. Or, all smiling and being spontaneous. I think I was just being too harsh.

The other thing, what in the world did families do before digital cameras?

Los Angeles Museum of Natural History

In a 100% spur of the moment decision, the Mazzetta Family headed to LA's Museum of Natural History on Sunday. With the two kiddos strapped into their carseats, our primary goal was to see the dinosaurs.

Then, we got to the museum and saw this sign. Yep, the entire Dinosaur Hall is being renovated and is closed to the public. Hmm, maybe we should have done a little internet research. The upside to the situation was that our Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History got us into LA's one for free. Even without the dinosaurs, we decided to stick around for a few hours to explore.

One of my favorite parts, the step stool in the bathroom. Hello, best invention ever for a mother who has just injured her back, is pregnant, and can't lift her kiddos up to wash their hands. Vera is demonstrating (although honestly, she could probably reach the sink just fine), but for Keller it was crucial. I definitely received a few odd looks for taking the picture.

Luckily, there were still a few dinosaur bones around for the kids to get excited about.

This is my attempt at my first belly shot.

Then, there was this guy below. The museum puts on a show called "Dinosaur Encounters." The kids in the audience were loving it. Not Vera, she was curled up in Daddy's shirt scared that the T-Rex was going to eat her. We talked many times about the fact that it was a puppet and that the audience could see the legs of the person inside, none of it made a difference.
