Pearly Girl - 9 Months

Front Page

The Flower Girls made the front page of the Santa Barbara News-Press. Get our your magnifying glass, Vera is right dab in the middle of the top row.

Snakes on a Gus

Have I mentioned lately that buying the snakes was a bit of a bad decision? They are fantastic in the cage, beautiful and scaly, but take the darn suckers out of their man-made habitat and they scare the poop out of me. It turns out that Gus is our snake lover in the family. He plays with them and tours them around the house. He begs to let them come out and play.

Recently, Dinosaur (the black one) learned how to escape his feeding bag. We only realized this as he was slithering under the fridge. Seriously, I might actually flip if one of them gets loose in the house.

Fiesta Flower Girl

Vera's first year as a flower girl has started! Today was picture day...so beautiful.

Thankfully, a nice little group from V's school is participating. It makes for great picture opportunities.

The Santa Barbara Mission makes a very scenic background for the photo.

O's

Pearly-Girl is eating O's! Okay, it may seem like the silliest milestone, but that fact that I can plop her in high chair with cereal in front of her makes my life easier. At least for that 15 minutes that I need to fix dinner without a wee one hanging off my pant leg. Literally, she crawls to me, pulls up on my pants, and proceeds to hang on for dear life as I try to cook and move around our kitchen.

Also, get a load of her hair!!

The Nifty Balloon Show

Oh Gus! He loved The Nifty Balloon Show and couldn't wait to have his picture taken with the cast. Seriously, these people travel all over performing a theater show that uses the art of balloon shaping to tell a story. It was pretty darn rad and what a cool job.

All-American Baseball Party

P.S. Thanks Zia for ideas that we "borrowed" from Leo's birthday. Keller's birthday guests enjoyed nachos and hot dogs. Yummy!

Holy Poo, Batman!

Keller not only turned 6, the very next day he lost his first tooth! Woot woot, HUGE milestone in our dude's life. Unfortunately, it didn't take long for another milestone, our dude misplaced his first tooth. My best guess is that it is floating around in the car somewhere. The tooth fairy may have to take an IOU for his number one tooth. I have a feeling they are going to be falling out left and right from now on. In fact, since this picture he has lost his second tooth.

Yay for Friends

We are so glad that one of our favorite families is living once again in Santa Barbara. Yay for friends coming home.

Birthday Hike

4th of July

Thanks Nonni and Nonno for making the trip down to drop off our little girl and spend Keller's birthday with him.

This girl was gone for two weeks, we were really starting to miss her.

Pearly-Girl!

Friends since birth...seems a little crazy that they are all 8.

The dig this year!

This boy turned 6 on the 4th! That is pretty wild.

Sweet daddy and daughter.

A HUGE woot-woot for the fact that one of our favorite families is living in Santa Barbara again.

Did he turn 6 or 16? Maybe one of these days he will start wearing his shirt the correct way.
