Another Day, Another Beach

Birthday Beach Bash...

...that we didn't have to plan! That makes it awesome. We are racking up the beach days this summer. Good times!

Kidspace

J had a week off of work and for the most part we stayed in Santa Barbara and relaxed. Our one trip was for the kiddos to Kidspace...a very hands-on museum that something for everyone.

Making robots!

Keller was super impressed with Gus' bike riding strength.

One of Keller's favorite spots, The Nature Trading Post. Kids bring in different items found in nature and are allowed to trade them for other things that they want. The kids were excited to find out that the sand dollars I brought back from a bachelorette party (over 1.5 years ago!!) were worth trade in gold. ;) Keller is now obsessed with finding shells.

Nonni and Nonno's House

So, so grateful that Nonni and Nonno are able and willing to take each of our big kids for a week each summer. I truly believe the time that my kiddos spend with them one-on-one is priceless. Thank you!

This last week was Vera's turn and she has had a blast, Build-a-Bear, bike riding, and a special bench. It has definitely been a trip to remember for her.

Birthday Present

Opa, I think he liked the fan.

Pie Face!

Hilarious!

Gus Turns 5!

Gus turned 5! To celebrate we had a backyard bash that included water balloons, confetti eggs, and a load of chaos.

Water balloons at targets worked well! Kids who wanted to get wet stood behind the targets. ;)

You can't win them all. Prizes wrapped up in crepe paper didn't work so well. Back to the drawing board on this game:

Confetti eggs are so fun to photograph!

This boy is filled with tons of love and a little bit of mischief. He is my mighty bite and he fills my heart with love. In the last month we have noticed that he has reached a new level of maturity and seems ready for what 5 is going to bring (kindergarten!). He loves to play both board games and video games. His favorite food is cheese quesadillas.
