Super cute, but it is time to say goodbye to kindergarten Flat Gus. Also, side note...I need to make sure that Gus is wearing his glasses to school each day. So easy to forget them as we rush out the door in the mornings.

Road Trip 2017 - J's Photos
Floating in The Great Salt Lake:
Lucky with the kiddos:
Mammoth Hot Springs:
My Cousin Todd's land:
Devil's Tower Monument:
Utah Olympic Park!
They didn't get their love of heights from their mama! Pearl is on the Discovery Course which is for younger kids (and older and adults :). The three big kids did the adult courses with J. Whew. I did the lower of the two and it was high enough (and challenging).
In the second picture you can see that Gus is on the lower course. They completed it and the one above them.
High course:
Picture from the extreme zipline!
You had to be 13 to ride a tube down this one. I did it! You better believe I am patting myself on the back for being brave enough.

Donuts and Crickets
Beetle Breakfast time at the Natural History Museum. Free donuts, coffee, crickets, and grasshoppers. I am going to be honest...no way, no how. It was not happening with this mama. I don't even like to look at crickets or grasshoppers.
Thankfully, my kids are more adventurous. Gus went for a Honey Mustard Cricket. I don't blame him, the grasshoppers were really big.
The Verdict: Crickets = Gross!
Still smiling, it could be the donut he was eating.
Then, he and our cousins spent over an hour building nature houses with wood discs, moss, pine cones, and driftwood. Whew, it was a nice way to spend a Saturday morning.

New Happenings
Flag football is on the agenda for fall. I know nothing about the sport and am pretty much hoping that Keller decides it isn't his thing...not that we are going to allow him to play tackle football. I love his beautiful brain too much.
That said, GO HAWKEYES!!

15th Wedding Anniversary
We got to celebrate with a cake made by our 11-year-old. Those chocolate balls are cookie dough covered in chocolate. Yum and yay for 15 years of marriage.
Buckle Fracture
Our little man went down while skateboarding and J pretty much knew right away something was wrong. He really hoped there was no fracture, but it was not to be. Gus buckled both bones in his left arm. Boo.
They are quick putting on the cast. The entire process took less than 10 minutes.
He is determined to keep it clean. Ha. That said, no one is being allowed to sign...yet.
