La Fiesta Pequena with Pops
Well, okay, I admit it was the practice for La Fiesta Pequena, the event that officially starts Fiesta in Santa Barbara. The practice is held on Tuesday at 6, which suits our summer bedtime of 8 o'clock much better than the real event, which is held on Wednesday starting at 8 o'clock.
It features gorgeous costumes and flamenco dancing.
And, lots of Opa hugs.
The kiddos varied between watching the show up close, running around, and acting like loons (or maybe that was just J). ;)

Swim Lessons - Part 2
I failed to mention in the last post about swim lessons that the kids are taking them at Dos Pueblos High School. They run the lessons as a fundraiser for their swim program. It is a win-win situation for us. On Thursday, the kids are allowed to jump off the diving boards three time. With three to choose from, each kiddo chose a small leap for the first jump. But, for the next two, it was all about the high dive (or jump). It made my heart jump just a little.

Swim Lessons
The older kiddos have started swim lessons, which means that Gus and I are spending lots of time hanging by the pool. For the next two weeks they will have a half hour lesson M-Th. In other news, I have started a Mazzetta Taxi Service.

Rainbows and Ponies - Tay's 4th Birthday Party
CC is so creative, too cute!!
All kids were in heaven riding the ponies.
This is 2 minutes before the horse startled Keller, forcing him to take a step backwards, which caused him to fall into the horse drinking station.
I had a very sad boy on my hands, but thankfully I also had a extra set of clothing.
Water play after the birthday party was just what the doctor ordered on a hot day!

7-11
Free slurpees at 7-11 on July 11, heck yes, we were down. That look on Gus' face, that occurred when I asked him to smile for the camera. Awww yay, cheesy smile = check!

Keller's 5th Birthday
The looks you can get when you ask kids to stop what they are doing and smile at the camera. Keller's birthday contained a lot of digging.
Instead of burying a 1000 items, 3 boxes were buried a foot deep. It was amazing how long the kiddos stayed focused trying to find the treasure boxes (a box of cookies, one with Fruit by the Foot, and Fruit Snacks).
A nice photo of father and son.
I have just realized how few pictures I am taking of the baby bump. Here I am at 22 and a half weeks.
Thank you Nonni and Nonno for all of your help and baking all of the pizzas for the party!!
Mr. Turtle was a HUGE hit!
Gus made a new friend.
All the kiddos!
Gus and Colin, so glad that the Stempels were in town to help us celebrate. Gus kept trying to hold Colin's hand.
