Gus has been insisting that he doesn't need glasses and that he can read just fine! Turns out he might have been overstating the situation and this mom should have been pushing the reading glasses a little more. We are back at it and he will be wearing his spectacles on Monday. Also, got a new pair included in our eye plan.

Pearl is Almost 5
The little one is turning 5 in just a few days and we celebrated a little early with a friend and ice cream sundaes.
Maize!
We headed out to The Maize at The Pumpkin Patch...part of our effort to do things that both the big and little kids will like. Whew! The maze was HUGE. I really wish I had taken a picture of the picture that showed what it looked like from the air.
We kind of raced/not really in pairs. Actually, it is just much easier to split our family up and handle it in little chunks.
There are 2 sections to the maze, in each of the sections there is a platform that you can climb to plan your next move. Or, in my case, to make my family take lots and lots of pictures.
Our break between Part 1 and Part 2 included eating an elephant ear.
All teams met on the platform!
Markers throughout the maze designated a passport spot. The passport sheet had numbered questions, the correct answer told you to go either left or right. #10 was the last one...BOOM, Keller and I were the first ones out of Part 2.

Plumper Pumpkin Patch
We headed to the Plumper Pumpkin Patch courtesy of J's company. They provided wristbands for all of the activities, free snack, and tokens to spend on various things.
I thought it was going to be a small operation. I was wrong.
The snack was kettle corn, which I love.
I swear Pearl was with us. I think maybe the shots I have with her on them are on my big camera.
Strong boy! Keller also gets major props for asking if we could use our tokens to buy pumpkins. You could!

More Nonni and Nonno
Nonni's new favorite hash brown and pie shop, Village Inn.
A walk + coffee expedition combined.
We took a break from coffee to have a little ice cream.
Then, back to coffee.
We liked Never Lab so much we had to take J there when he got home from Germany.
Lunch booths always = photo opportunities.
Powell's Bookstore is always my first stop to take people.
Pearl knows she lucked out getting to spend one-on-one time with Nonni and Nonno.
Laughing Planet provided photo props while we waited for our food to be delivered.
Beverly Clearly Statue Park
Some minor leaf peeping happened.
