Cal Poly Open House

A trip to Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo for their Open House turned out to be a true test for our family of 6. It is one of the first moments that having the four kids has felt overwhelming. Part of that was due to skipping lunch and the other part was that we forgot our stroller. Those two things together = a mom that fell apart. Seriously, forgetting the stroller was such a pain.

Do you want to be a part of the Cal Poly Loggers? They participate in traditional logging activities, using axes, and other events all under the title of timber sports. Awesome. I think Keller might be a new recruit.

Both big kids got to participate in a cookie taste test for Disney. The verdict, both cookies that they ate were disgusting. Ha! Disney, I think you need a redesign.

The day would not have been complete without a visit with our college mascot Musty. Okay, I had to google Cal Poly's mascot. Why, why did they name him Musty...that is a horrible BO name.

Keller's Happy Place

More From Nonni and Nonno's Visit

Walk and Roll-a-Thon

Fun runs are the new it fundraisers for schools and Hope is no exception. It is good times for sure. The kids, they sprint out of the start line raring to go. Then, for the next 45 minutes they rotate between running, walking, stopping for water breaks, and stuffing oranges in their mouths. The only thing that varies is that some of the kiddos throw the water on their heads.

A Few Favorites

Leo is 1!

How did our little nephew turn 1? We drove to Martinez to help this little guy celebrate his birthday with a baseball themed birthday. Best theme ever. Zia, the nachos were fantastic.

Pretty mama and Leo.

Pearly getting a little Zia time.

Just the two of us.

Cake time!

Bouncy house high-jump time?!? Seriously impressed with the amount of air that J's cousin got.

Gus was loving the bouncy house.

A Quick Stop

Dogs + kids = good times and total chaos. Vera was in heaven playing with Hefner...the pup in her arms.
