Back in Town

Nonni and Nonno are back in town which means coffee, posing by murals, and eating pasta at 24th and Meatball.

Christmas Work Party

Optimus Prime...not your usual suspect at a holiday party.

Pearl was only mildly interested in the reindeer.

We were all highly invested in the doughnuts!

Santa, Pearl happily sat on his lap. Still waiting on the pictures that were taken by the photographer. Did J an I pose in one? You betcha.

Therapy llama and alpaca...can I have one please?????

December Happenings

Gingerbread decorating is always fun...especially when you make the kids decorate together. Teamwork makes the dream work!

The $5 is decorated and ready for present. The library/living room has furniture!

Hatchimals mania continues in our house. Along with a very unhealthy obsession with LOL Dolls.

Playdate with our neighbor:

Pine State Biscuits = super yummy!

J's Christmas display:

1st true rainfall as I picked the kiddos up from school.

Love, love, love when I get my big ones to craft with the littles. Can you guess who did each tree?

Holiday party in Gus' classroom, so love his teacher and the creativity and kindness that she brings to each day.

Sugar cookie Christmas Trees. Holy moly, there is a lot of cookie in this picture. Then, we realized after stacking that you were supposed to make two of each size so that it would have been double the height. Whoops.

Christmas Tree Hunting

All kinds of beautiful forest around us and I captured selfies. Whoops. I will try to capture the scene next year. My neighbor did get the best photo of us with our tree. Ha, now to figure out how to load it onto the blog.

Pearl and the 5-Year-Old Update

Weight: 49 lb 14.4 oz
Height: 4' .25"

Pearl is growing like a weed and is super strong. She can do 3 pull-ups (which is currently the highest in the family excluding J) and loves the monkey bars. This kid is ready for kindergarten. The move to Portland has been challenging for her in that she misses her cousins and friends from SB. That said, she has made a new neighbor friend. She loves LOL Dolls, Hatchimals, pink, and purple. Ha! She completed her first season of soccer and took classes in bouldering, ballet, and gymnastics.

Redo

Vera wants to make scrunchies and all the boys want to do is playing Magic the Gathering. The 90s are coming back BIG time.

Portland Children's Museum

The Portland Children's Museum is perfect for Pearl, but I dragged the boys there with promises of pottery and painting.

One of my more vivid childhood memories is painting pottery with my stepmother. I let them go wild and pick whatever piece they wanted regardless of price (within means of course).

Friend Visit

Vera's friend from SB came to visit and so I have lots and lots of photos of the two girls smiling as we walked through town.

I may have photobombed a photo or two.

She had never had a Voodoo Doughnut. Corrections had to be made.

Castles and Daydreams

One of my favorite things to do in Portland is admire the street art.

That is a Wrap!

Soccer season done, now let's play some basketball.

Halloween Leftovers

I thought about carving pumpkins outside, but it was too darn cold for me. Our sunroom became an impromptu art area and was easy enough to clean-up afterwards.

Pearl got dressed up for trick-or-treating at J's work.

The only shot of Vera that I got the whole night.

The three neighbors.

Turning 5 is pretty awesome!
