Nonni and Nonno's House

Vera has been at Nonni and Nonno's house for a week now and they are spoiling her rotten. Because of that (and the fact that our house is infected at the moment) they are keeping her for a bit longer. She is having a blast. Horseback riding = check! Thanks Cousin Heather for being her riding partner!

She is getting to make tons of crafts at both the library up there and with Nonni.

Cute little lamb.

Cardboard city.

Nonno is making her cook her own meals. ;) Just teasing Nonno, he is giving her cooking lessons.

While Nonni takes Vera shopping and out to fancy restaurants. Here she is displaying her new sandals...that have 2-inch heels. Way to talk your Nonni into them, Vera!

At this point, she may never want to come home again.

Train Trip

The end of Opa's visit coincided with the start of Vera's week at Nonni and Nonno's house. Instead of us driving Vera to SF, Opa took her with him on the train. Our oldest was both super excited and a little nervous. I think she got spoiled. They ate donut holes, pizza, and drank soda. Opa! ;)

Before putting them on the train, we snapped a few photos.

Photobombed by PJ!

Waiting, waiting, waiting!

And, they boarded! It does make me a bit anxious to have one of my children so far away from me. Even when she has a sleepover, there is just a part of me that wishes she was home safe with me. That said, I know right now that she is having the time of her life at N&N's.

I love this photo from Opa's visit!

Guitar Recital

The guitar has been a struggle recently in our house. Getting my oldest child to practice was literally becoming a daily battle. To that end, we don't know what we are going to do about her lessons, other than a break for a month. After that, urgh...

All-Star Baseball

A first for us, Keller is playing on the Santa Barbara Pony All-Star Team. It has been a learning process for all of us. Baseball is a sport that requires patience and listening, not to mention the throwing and batting skills.  The SB team has amazing players, so much so, that I can't believe they are 5, 6, and 7 year-old boys.

This weekend marks the team's first tournament. Holy poo, we played some tough teams. The best quote of the day goes to one of Keller's teammates. After the game his dad asks, "Did you have fun?" The little boy quickly replied, "Yes, who won?" I love that he didn't even know who had won. Unfortunately, it wasn't our team, but they are playing better and better.

Between the first game and the second we stopped by a farmer's market for carrots. Guess who loved them! Yep, the little boy in the all-stars uniform.

Opa's In Town

Opa is here! The grand kiddos are showing their love by climbing all over him, making loud nonsensical sounds, and pushing their bedtimes later and later each night. They are happy to have him here.  Almost a photo with the grandchildren.

Missed the photo Mighty Bite, now you get a photo all by yourself with Opa.

Pearly Girl gets a few photos with Opa since she is still new around here.

Gus

Can you just imagine Gus saying, "I want to hug you and squeeze you and love you so much." That is how he feels. He just wants to squeeze the love into her.

Just stay on my lap!

Oh, wait, a camera. I love having my photo taken.

He really does.

Yep, I have my ham.

Wait! More Food Pics!

I can't help, she is adorable covered in food. She is also one very messy eater.

PJ Loves Her Food...

...in her tummy.
...on her face.
...in her hair.
...just smear it all around.

Be still my heart.

Needless to say, we are taking many, many more baths these days.
