Camp Time!

Vera is just finishing up her second week of camp at the Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History...and I am finally posting the pictures. :)

Blueberry Picking

Ready to go...

Keller quickly picked up on J's "game" of throwing blueberries at people. Yes, that is why my hubby wore a blue shirt. Me, I just liked eating them.

Nojoqui Falls

There is that moment, when you have passed a sign hundreds of times, and then one day you finally decide to check it out. Today was the day that we went blueberry picking (pictures to come) and walked to Nojoqui Falls. Both have been passed at least a hundred times by the Mazzetta Family as we have headed north for the Bay Area or to visit our friends in Los Alamos. Today, we went up there just for them.

I couldn't resist editing the Nojoqui Falls pictures first, so much fun.

The walk to the falls was 10 minutes at the most.

Both kids were super excited to see the falls and play in the water.

You know what I love about this photo, that little toddler belly. So yummy!

There is one downer to our trip, I realized that I married probably the greatest bug attractor in the entire world. At home, if a flea has escaped from a dog 20 miles away, it heads right for J's stomach and bites him repeatedly. Spiders, mosquitoes, and fleas all flock to Jaso. At Nojoqui, it was the flies. Oh, they loved my honey...enough that we will be carrying Bug Off! in our car from now on.

Solstice Parade 2011

I <3 the Solstice Parade...there are crazy costumes galore, the sun always shines brightly, and the kookier side of Santa Barbara comes out to show off their true colors. This year's theme, Jungle, lent itself to darn awesome floats and costumes.

It does help that we have VIP balcony seats at our friend's work. Oh, and those seats include food and access to a bathroom, two very important things for this preggo woman.

Why yes, my stomach is HUGE! :)

Yay for having a pregnant friend due right around our #3 is coming, although they are having a little girl.

Bubblemania

The Santa Barbara's summer library program has started! It includes a reading incentive game, where the kiddos earn different prizes for every additional five books that they read (or that are read to them). There is also a series of shows that will be playing all summer. The first was the juggler and this week...BUBBLEMANIA. It was pretty darn cool, even for the adults in the audience.

We ended up going twice and during our second viewing, Vera got picked to go into the bubble. When the bubble has encased them, the kids were told to blow and smaller bubbles would stream out. From their facial expressions, you can tell that my children took the job very seriously.

After the show, the bubble master was nice enough to stick around and give other kids an opportunity to go into the bubble. Keller loved it!

Tay-Tay is 2!

I love when CC asks me to help her decorate Tay-Tay's birthday cakes. For my own kids, I am too busy throwing the whole ding-dang party to concentrate on just the cake. Also, CC brings me the cake already baked, which is awesome. Together, I think we did pretty well. You call tell who it is, right?

How old are you Tay-Tay? What is it about 2 and 3 fingers that are so hard for kids to hold up? Keller can't for the life of him hold up 3 fingers, which he will be doing in less than a month! Wow!

Tennis Playing Vera

Last Thursday, the Mazzetta Crew ventured out to the Montecito Library to watch a world famous juggler (wink, wink). My shy girl, who hides behind me when entering a new friend's house, immediately raised her hand when the juggler asked for a volunteer from the audience. So proud of her!

Practicing Her Drawing Skillz

My favorite of the drawings for many reasons. Why is most of the dog in color, except for his head? Oh, and I love the fleas on his back. This kid is ready for a pet.
