Paris - Day 1

I pretty much spent the entire trip in a constant state of sweat. We took the high-speed train from Barcelona to Paris...fairly easy, just got a bit long around hour 6.

Our hotel room decor was adorable and covered in books. So appropriate for us.

Hey Space Invaders...I see you!

Last Day in Barcelona

Ha! My beautiful treat on the July 9th. Did I laugh? Yes, it happened to be the one time I went down for breakfast without Vera. I blushed the entire time that the sweet waitress sang happy birthday to me.

More Gaudi architecture...Casa Mila.

Brunch & Cake - Super cute

We left Barcelona for a day trip to Terragona. Oh boy, our train was crowded and we ended up standing for the 1hr 30 min ride. It was a bit tough.

But then, gorgeous!

Vera bought a hat so she could stop stealing mine.

A good yellow wall is a brilliant backdrop for photos.

We ended up back at our hotel at 9:30 for pizza and empanadas.

Sagrada Familia + Other Stuff

Sagrada Familia is beautiful, but also a bit crazy. How is it still being built? Plus, for the fact that it was started in 1882, it is incredibly modern looking. Also, we dressed in sleeves and long pants because they ask you to dress was a hot day, get there and everyone in shorts and t-shirts. Still glad we respected the ask, but it was a bit uncomfortable.

Vera had to try the slide at the Sephora.

New dresses + our favorite food of the trip at Rao.

The amazing little pantry at our hotel in Barcelona.

Our first full day in Barcelona! Pictures from the hotel:

Casa Batillo:

This cool bookstore that we found! For the life of me I can't remember the name, but it was air conditioned, great art, and a really good bathroom. Basically, my idea of heaven.

If I was a bit more awesome I would recreate this in my house.

Honestly, just a great scenery shot, we walked the city all day.

Arc de Barcelona:

The opera house where we managed to not tour, but still buy stuff at the gift store.

Snack break. This was Vera's, and in all truth, I am still not sure I can get behind a smoothie bowl.

Swimming in the Mediterranean Sea. Also, 5 minutes before it started to rain.

Okay, we both felt like this was a true Barcelona experience. It is dinner and called pintxos. You basically go through the buffet and pinch the sandwiches that you want to eat by grabbing the toothpick. We are uncultured and the flavors were a bit strong for the two of us.

That green one is peppers, green onions, and a sardine. Why did I pinch it??? I have no idea, but I ate that bad boy marking it as the first sardine that I have ever eaten.

Just walking home late at night:
