Maverick's

The whole idea was to head to Maverick's to see some tide pools. We made the quarter-ish mile walk out to the ocean and realized that we had misjudged the tide. It was in, which equals no tide pools.

Collecting shells saved the day!

Keller filled both pockets, he ended up weighing 10 extra pounds on the way back to the car.

This is Gus' new funny face. It cracks me up, seriously, he is a happy kid.

Adventure Playground

A playground that consists of random wooden structures, mismatched wood, and enough paint to graffiti everything. I fully admit, this one was more J's arena...I was fully intimidated when the kids started grabbing saws, hammers, and nails.

It didn't stop me from adding some of my own artwork.

Vera and Zia in their matching necklaces that Vera made.

Gus and Vera

Dennis the Menace Playground

A quick stop between Am's wedding and reception at Denace the Menace Park was excellent. The park consisted of 10ish different areas. There are lots of play structures, a climbing wall, gigantic slides, and tunnels. We could have been there all day!

Am becomes a Mrs.

My favorite shot of the day is below. It is right after the two were announced man and wife and they look happy and stunned.

Mr. Brock was my biology teacher junior year of high school. Crazy to see him holding my child.

Volleyball Camp - Crazy Day!

Great experience at the Page Youth Center Volleyball Camp. They ran the kids until they were exhausted and taught a bit of volleyball at the same time. The last day of camp was Crazy Day and man, Vera looks so much older. Wah! My little girl is growing up. We were planning her outfit the day before and she kept repeating, " I need at least two more accessories."

The Painted Cabernet!

Wine (or, in my case, Diet Coke) + Paint = Fun, Fun, Fun!

There is an instructor at the front of the class taking you through the project step-by-step. Quite a few in the class had been before and they varied color/number of palm trees. Not me, I followed everything that she did to the "t."

J made fun of my blended lines and I have no idea where I would actually hang my painting, but the night was fun and I loved the chance to be creative.

Proud Mama!

All three kids "reading." Okay, one reading, one looking at the pictures, and one gnawing on a board book...still, one proud mama here!!

Woot Woot Lompoc Aquatic Center

Our friends celebrated their son's 1st birthday at the Lompoc Aquatic Center (we threw a shindig there for our 8th wedding anniversary). Love, love, love water play. The kids are finally old enough to be okay playing and I don't have to stalk after them...other than Gus, of course.

Vera put her big girl panties on and rode the BIG water slides for the 1st time. She is hooked! She rode them with Dad, with Mom, and even by herself. Whew! Keller was quite the jealous dude, he is just short of the 4ft height requirement.

 Gus and the birthday boy!

Cutest little fish in the whole pool.
