Day 2 - Buckingham and the Tower of London

Buckingham Palace for the changing of the guard. Ha, maybe I should have checked whether or not they do it when it is raining. Fun fact...they don't. Another fun fact = I didn't put my kids in rain jackets on day #2. Whoops.

We spent a good chunk of time in Pret-a-Manger drinking hot cocoa, coffee, and drying off. This is all while J and Vera were taking a tour of Buckingham Palace.

All back together. What you can't tell from this picture is that J's shirt is soaked through, he didn't even bring a jacket. Also, there may have been a little disagreement on whether or not to head back to our hostel to change and get proper clothing or to push on with touring. We pushed on. Right decision at the time, I admit that now. ;)

When your sweatshirt is 100% soaked through so you decide a souvenir is in order.

Tower of London!

Had to get a few shots with the Tower Bridge in the background.

Pizza for dinner with a view of St. Paul's in the background.

At this point we split up again. J and the younger kids made their way slowly back to the hostel while Vera, Keller, and I took the water shuttle a few stops and then walked our way to Blondie's Kitchen for cookie dough served like ice cream.

Can you tell I am getting pretty darn tired by this picture.

Walked and walked and then walked some more. I think we probably hit the 10 mile mark on day #2.
