Keller's class just finished a unit on fairy tales:
The slight damper on the Open House Experience was seeing Keller's desk. Fabulous castle = check! By itself while all other desks were in small groups = check! Hmmm...it sunk this mama's heart seeing his desk all by itself. He doesn't even really think about it. But, as a parent walking into a classroom on Open House it hurt my heart to see that his desk was so far from the other kids. I am sure that he was talking or needed more space, but at a time when we were supposed to be celebrating his achievements I couldn't help just feeling sad. There was another individual desk as well.
